Meet Jerry

A lifelong resident of this area, Jerry started dancing during college at the University of Arkansas. He took the Ballroom dance course offered, and it got into his blood. Several years later, he answered an ad for 5 lessons for 5 dollars at a new ballroom dance studio. The rest is history.

Originally trained in ballroom, Jerry was coached by Terry Roseborough, a ballroom instructor and National Champion in West Coast Swing. He has been trained and coached by several renowned ballroom coaches, Rosendo Fumero, Perry Gingrich, and Jean Marc Genereau to name a few.

Jerry has been teaching professionally for about 9 years. He has performed at many events, both locally and afar, and has participated in several dance competitions. Most notably, the 1999 Grand Ball in Nashville, Tennessee (retaining 13 first place awards) and the 2002 Tulsa Swing Challenge (as the Jack and Jill champion with Pamela Ferguson).

His philosophy is to make dancing fun and enjoyable. Stressing FUN. The classes are geared so that anyone, of any ability can attend and have a good time. Also, dancing is a wonderful self-confidence builder. The better dancer on becomes, the greater image one possess of oneself. His goal is to help each person feel comfortable about getting on the dance floor and having fun in the process.

Jerry specializes in wedding couple choreography for spotlight dances. He will take your special song and adapt a dance suitable for the occasion.

Also offered is a mobile deejay service. His service can accommodate large or small events and he can tailor them to individual needs. Jerry has professionally deejayed locally for 6 years.
